maybe kids, a dog and a microwave
We had cities in the world
And so very little time
And now we’re back at home
In love with old memories from ghost towns
“Trust me everything will be just fine
…only if you take me off your mind”
The fact is that we won’t ever know
what will ever come and hit us next
You said you wanted love?
So I guess this is you will get with it.
And there you keep standing
with your heart upon your sleeve
Always knowing from the start
that the choice in me it was to leave.
And please do know that when my foot is out the door
I really don’t know where it’s heading for.
And maybe… we’ll wake up in a city far away
And maybe we’ll make up someday
It doesn’t matter anyway
Right now I can’t be happy if I choose to
Knowing that in the morning I will lose you
So close your eyes and come to bed
Forget the talks we should have had
Lets count to ten in between breathes
Because this is as good as it will ever get
